General Meeting Part 2
December 16, 2025
To continue our debate of November 25 on proposed amendments to our voting bylaws, we will be holding another General Meeting on Tuesday, December 16, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at 11 Christie St on the main floor.
These proposed amendments were introduced prior to the November 25 meeting and discussed at that meeting. Members will receive minutes via e-mail. If all goes well, we will vote on these proposed changes at the December 16 meeting.
We will also be addressing the agenda items we didn’t have time for
on November 25, including:
> possible additions to our member-communications options
> interest in establishing a NORC (aging in place) committee.
As always, we will be attempting to recruit more volunteers to our various committees and initiatives.
Date/Time: Tuesday, December 16, 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
Location: 11 Christie Street (the east-side condo just north of Bloor)
Main floor party room. A familiar face will let you in.

Lifestyle
November 14, 2025
Our NDP MPP Jessica Bell invites you to join an in-person Seniors Townhall on Friday, November 14 to learn how Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities (NORCs) can help you, your friends and family age in your home with dignity and choice.
NORCs are being explored as a new way to support older adults by bringing services right into the buildings and neighbourhoods where they already live. This service model is being piloted as a way to keep people living well in their homes for as long as possible.
The town hall is between 12 noon and 2 p.m. at Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church on Bloor West at Robert.

Community Health
November 18, 2025
If the person beside you suffered a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) would you know how to administer CPR or use an AED until professional responders arrived?
Performing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) or operating an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) can increase the chances of survival after an SCA up to 60%. Learning how to do that only takes about an hour.
The SVRA is inviting you to a series of four, one-hour interactive hands-on workshops to learn how to perform CPR and operate an AED. Come and learn how to help save a life on Tuesday, November 18 at KOS Cafe. Workshops begin on the hour, starting at 4:00 p.m. The last one is at 7:00 p.m.
